Para longe dos parentes, das gentes todas que insistiam em lhe lembrar da obrigação de ser gente que fala, ri, lembra e conta. Héstia rumou para o ermo de morros e capoeiras que há muito não se tinha notícia de gente por lá (...)

(...) Hestia was a withdrawn and disenchanted lady: everything seemed uninteresting to her when there were many people, many voices and the memories to tell. The decision was to leave. But where to go? Maybe to somewhere away from relatives, from all the people who insisted on reminding her of the obligation to be people who speak, laugh, remember and tell. Hestia headed for the wasteland of hills and old fields, there where for a long time not a single noise of people had been heard (...)
